I love the show especially now that I know that it bugs real-life reporters. Like the show, I got tired of the real-life reporters who can't seem to just REPORT the news. Reports are so biased and reporters have to throw in their opinion about everything. It seems most of the coverage is either political bias or fluff entertainment.
The show is ok at best. Unfortunately it has too much Sorkin styled rapid paced long running dialogue that is so un-natural it boarders on annoying. If the dialogue was more realistic it would be a great show as the content ans story is good.
Happy to see an Aaron Sorkin show on HBO - seems like a perfect marriage. I can't believe some of the petty comments about the show, its characters, and Sorkin - it's ridiculous. On the other hand, I truly love the show, the intelligent dialogue, great stories, and wonderful characters who are engaging and entertaining - all elements of other great HBO series. I only wish Sorkin had used more of his "traditional" players - Matthew Perry being one of them. It's a great show and I expect Mr. Sorkin to have as much integrity in the show as he has written into his characters.
