The owner of that dog is Sophie Sumner, aka, America's next top model Cicle 18 British invasion WINNER, and they've been friends for many many years now. She is doing it to raise money, and increase awareness about breast cancer. However i do not support doing this to a dog.

Animal rights groups animals have been dyed for 100s of years from Native Americans painting their horses before going into battle to using non toxic coloring today for dog shows and even in India they paint elephants for ceremonies. They don't do it to harm the animals but to honor them because they love their animals.

Darcy IS pink, is not purple, is just the light of the pic, and the fact that it was taken just after her dyeing, it washes off so at first is very bright, because is made with beets, but after a few washes is baby pink. I wouldn't do this to my dog, but i admire Sophie for doing something, maybe it's not the best choice, but at least she is trying to help, and she is not hurting her dog, and he really loves her, what are all the people criticizing her doing to help Cancer investigations?
