Jennifer hudson in court for testifying in family murder trial

I feel for her; no one should have to go through this but I'm sorry, her testimony should have absolutely no bearing on the case. She did not present any evidence towards his guilt. This is the stuff that should be said during sentencing. The judge says the jury shouldn't think about Jennifer Hudson and concentrate on the facts but then allows this completely emotional testimony?!?

My heart goes out to Jennifer and her family. I believe that jealous and envy along with evil played a huge part in this crime. Jennifer may God bless and keep you positive throughout this continuing ordeal.

Her testimony is regarding his character. They called her as the first witness so that she may stay in the courtroom during the remainder of the trial. His conviction will not bring her family back, but hopefully she will be able to gain some sort of peace of mind.
