From director Andrew Stanton's John Carter a sweeping action-adventure Barsoom (Mars) and the mysterious and exotic planet. John Carter is based on an Edgar Rice Burroughs, whose height served as the inspiration for the imagination of many adventure films, both past and present of the classic novel. The film tells the story of the war-weariness, the former military chief - John Carter (Taylor Kitsch), who somehow transported to Mars, he reluctantly embroiled in a clash of epic proportions between the planet's inhabitants, including tar Tarkas (Willem Dafoe) and the beautiful Princess Dejah Thoris (Lynn Collins).
