The first Spider-Man made over $418 million in the international market and that doesn't even bring into account ten years of inflation. I really don't see how it didn't do well in the international market. Sounds like they are just trying to tear down the old spider-man for the new one.
"Healthy" start is code for Uh-Oh, those numbers are troubling. What other movies this summer also opened in very few small markets overseas and made alot more money its first weekend? Answer- Madagascar 3, which brought in 75 million its first weekend, is still doing banging business, and won't even open in the major markets overseas until after the Olympics.
I think this movie will make a very, very dece.....

Saw it today. Although Tobey and Kirsten had great chemistry in the original, Andrew and Emma definitely takes cake on this one, more like hot chemistry.
You're certainly right about the kiss scenes making us want to see them get it on. That one when he's in her room all damaged, omg, I just knew it was going to be rated R scene.
Emma revealed about swapping spit on the big screen. "But it wasn't too crazy. It wasn't too bad. We were on a rooftop for that first kiss, so there was some distance. It didn't feel too intrusive."

I was underwhelmed by the film. Granted, it's a reboot but you have to sit through an hour of set-up, where we find out how Peter Parker gets bitten and becomes Spiderman. It felt like a rerun to me. I kept waiting for the film to start, for the protagonist to appear. Once that happened, it was fun but the movie was already half over.
This was one of the best films I've seen in years. There are a LOT of people who really enjoyed it. Easily better than the Raimi Spider Man films. I'm very happy that they are staying a little more true to the character of Peter Parker than the previous Spidey films out there. Seriously, Garfield and Stone are such brilliant actors, them and even the supportin.....

I wasn't surprised Snow White and the Huntsman dropped out of the top 10. At least it stayed there for 5 weeks. Ted, Magic Mike, and The Amazing Spider-Man soared through in the box office. Snow White has made now over $350 million worldwide. I found out that Italy, Venezuela, and Madagascar haven't showned the movie in those territories yet so it will continue showing in those areas. I loved it after watching it last month and I plan to watch the sequel when it comes out. I hope the movie will win in the 2012 Teen Choice Awards.
Of course Spiderman is going to make more than the other superhero movies. It says in the article 44 percent of it came from 3D ticket sales, the other movies didn.....

Not all! the old spider man was 30 millions up on its second week. And the budget for this year is higher. If they hit at least 400 millions in the US, it will be a financial benefit.
I'm going to start looking up every single Batman related story online and post about how great Spider-Man was. Seriously. You fanboys seem to be on everything that has to do with Spider-Man constantly bragging about Batman like it's some competition that only you morons are paying attention to. Why so insecure?
I think this is a good thing really, from my experience everyone (certainly around my area) went to see the film in its opening weekend and loved it! the reason ticket sales dropped is because a lot o.....
